Head In The Clouds

I am a lover of words and phrases/sayings. I love finding words that connect with me. My favorite word is Dreams. Love the word Dreams and it’s meaning. So much I even got it tattooed on me and have a dreams book. No joke.

In my case I love all different definitions of the word DREAMS.
Like, DREAMS as in subconscious, passing through REM, dreams. I love to dream, I think it’s my favorite part of sleeping unless it’s a nightmare. I love to figure out what I really want in life through my subconscious desires. I love to see how far my mind will take me and figure out what’s bothering me.
I can remember going through a few days without dreaming at all, which made me crabby and not the sweetest person to be around.
Recently I’ve gotten a new story idea from my dream a couple nights ago. And I usually never come up with my novel ideas that way, I could but they usually don’t make enough sense to develop into something. But this dream sort of made sense and so when I woke, I jotted a couple things down and spent the rest of the time brainstorming and connecting it into a story line. I still don’t have all the semantics down but I wrote this little section from it:

Section from UNTITLED novel
Section from UNTITLED novel by QAM.

It’s going to be a teen fiction/ thriller. Still has no title; more on that once I start writing it.
Similar to that subconscious DREAM definition, I love to daydream. I daydream every day, every second, every hour. It’s what I do. I’m a daydreamer; I’m the girl in the middle of class who is staring outside or at her paper for minutes not paying attention. I love to day dream with my music. With music I can reach out more and really take myself from the real world for awhile.
The places I go are so creative, detailed and realistic that I prefer it over reality. Most worlds come from reading and going inside of the novels. My favorite daydream place from a novel is the Mercy Thompson Series by Patricia Briggs. I play around there a lot.

Last but not least, my DREAM, what I hope to aspire for and live for. I never had a dream until I started writing as a hobby in 2009. Then it took me about a year to figure out this was going to be my DREAM. My career endgame.
My DREAM is to become a published author. This is what I hope for, this is what I fear of losing, and this is what keeps me going.

“May your coming year be filled with magic and dreams and good madness. I hope you read some fine books and kiss someone who thinks you’re wonderful, and don’t forget to make some art — write or draw or build or sing or live as only you can. And I hope, somewhere in the next year, you surprise yourself.” ― Neil Gaiman
